Quiksoft Offers Free .Net E-Mail Component
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FreeSMTP.Net Enables Developers to Send Mail from .Net
applications.
Philadelphia, PA – April 1, 2002 – Quiksoft Corporation has announced
the availability of FreeSMTP.Net, a free .Net component that enables
application developers to send Internet e-mail from their .Net
applications.
“Even though we have been providing e-mail tools to developers for
over 5 years, there are still a number of developers who are not aware
our products,” said John Alessi, CEO of Quiksoft. “We decided to provide
a free .Net component to the development community as a way of
introducing ourselves. We want all developers to experience our
software.”
FreeSMTP.Net is fully managed code written in 100% C# and surpasses
the capabilities of the System.Web.Mail component included with the .Net
framework. The fully SMTP compliant component supports text and html
message bodies, unlimited recipients, international character sets,
unlimited attachments, automatic MIME encoding, progress monitoring,
custom headers, message queuing, file logging, message priorities, and
integration with VisualStudio.Net’s dynamic help system. FreeSMTP.Net is
being provided free of charge to .Net developers. A more feature-rich
version of FreeSMTP.Net, EasyMail .Net Edition, includes more SMTP
features as well as POP3, IMAP4 and parsing support. EasyMail .Net
Edition will be available for sale beginning in April, 2002.
